Energy Efficiency Programs
Wallingford Electric Division
100 John Street
Wallingford, CT   06492

The Electric Division of the Wallingford Department of Public Utilities offers these programs and suggestions to help you reduce your electric costs.

  • Incentive payments of up to 40% of the pre-tax project cost for lighting retrofits and purchase of energy-saving equipment, as long as the customer's payback period does not exceed five years. (A project might qualify for a smaller incentive payment if the projected payback exceeds five years.)
  • Lighting retrofits and installation of energy-saving equipment will be performed by the customer's contractor. The Wallingford Electric Division has a list of contractors who have successfully completed projects.
  • Projects that qualify for incentive payments include higher efficiency commercial- or industrial-rated air conditioning equipment, including variable frequency drives (VFDs) for HVAC equipment, air compressor equipment, three-phase motor replacements, and lighting retrofits.
  • Contact the Electric Division at 203-294-2280 for more information on qualifying projects, cost, payback period, how to apply, etc. and for questions on any of the Electric Division's energy conservation programs.
