HazWaste Central is open to collect and safely dispose of household hazardous waste. Go through your house and look for all of the items on your checklist below. If you find any of these products, then you have the makings of household hazardous waste. To be safe and protect the environment, read the product label instructions. When finished, dispose of the products at HazWaste Central.

Open: most Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon, May 9 through October 31, 2009.
(Closed Independence Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.)

HazWaste Central is free for residents in Bethany, Branford, Cheshire, East Haven, Fairfield, Guilford, Hamden, Madison, Milford, New Haven, North Branford, North Haven, Orange, Wallingford, West Haven, and Woodbridge.

  • Wastes from Businesses
  •  Medical Waste
  • Unknown substances which are suspected to be one of the above

*Crack lid, air dry and dispose of in regular garbage.
